The Stratford Experience
A world of pleasures, simple and rare is yours in Stratford, a community Victorian in its roots, progressive in its attitudes and outstanding in its accomplishments. At home in the County of Perth, it lies 90 minutes west of Toronto and takes its place among the great stages of the world.
Standing high above the water's edge is the magnificent Stratford Shakespeare Festival, one of the world's leading repertory theatres. Four theatres house classical and modern dramas, musicals, and some of the finest Shakespeare productions in the world.
Festival fringe activities unmask the mysteries of the stage through writers, talks, music, workshops, and tours. The season runs from April to November.
Gallery Stratford and the Stratford-Perth Museum showcase exhibitions year round. Excellent shopping in a vibrant Victorian downtown includes
more art galleries, studios, book shops, and antiques.
Historical walks in the beautiful Shakespearean Gardens or along the peaceful Avon River, make your experience memorable.
Dining in Stratford is outstanding. Variety abounds in majestic settings, cozy and intimate or contemporary, light, and airy. Picnic along the Avon River
and watch the graceful swans float by. The choice is yours.
Other attractions in the area are the St Jacobs Market and Playhouse, Castle Kilbride, and the Huron County Playhouse to name a few.

Stratford Garlic Festival Celebrates Local Food
The awareness of an ecological footprint and market conditions are causing people to choose locally produced
food whenever possible. Southwestern Ontario produces some of the finest specialty garlic in the world. The
travelling consumer is looking to put a face on, and have a relationship with the folks who grow their food. An
appealing option is to “Catch a Ride” on your coach and lessen their environmental footprint.
